POLICE AVIATION CONFERENCE 2017
to be held at Doncaster Sheffield [Robin Hood] Airport, South Yorkshire, UK
As in previous years the exhibition and main conference will be held over two days [6-7 June] within the iconic former V-Bomber hangar that was the home of the last flying Avro Vulcan.
An addition to the previous programme format is that on the exhibition set up day [Monday 5 June] we intend to hold a one-day training session open to police officers and TFOs of all nations and seeks to widen their knowledge and skillsets.
The location is at the heart of a regional airport which should again allow direct access of fixed wing aircraft to the static display.
All aspects of the event will be made available to industry for sponsorship.
The base hotel for the event is the Best Western in Great North Road. Details of this, alternative hotels, informative travel information, other information and updates will be posted in due course.
The location itself is historic – the old RAF Finningley was a former V-Bomber base - in 2017 it will also be the main base for the commencement of fixed-wing operations for NPAS the UK police aviation operator.
